Nice photies ROQ, atmospheric and South Yorkshire looking.
Certainly looking better than the first time I saw the basin about twenty something years ago.
It's encouraging how so many towns and cities are realising that a canal basin is an asset to them ....finally!
I know Coventry City Council cringe when they remember that in the late 50's they were on the verge of filling in theirs to provide a site for the new cathedral.
Banbury and Oxford are still gnashing their hair and wailing their teeth over what they did to theirs.
Just one question ROQ .... who the hell is the giant peering out of the glass building on the right, in the first photo? Scary or what?

I was apprehensive about going to Birmingham,but what a fantastic change since my last vist, it is certainly an attractive destination.CKP
