I go to the office Mon, Tues & Wed which explains why the weather is usually very nice too thank you at the beginning of the week. Then back end of the week when I could go down the boat to finish off the painting that I started back at Easter it wazzles down on and off.
Well today (Sunday) it is shinning, the sky is blue and cloudless and I have to drive the tribe down to the outlaws in Reading a mere 200 mile round trip.
Oh how I laughed!
But "Hey!" I get the last laugh, because I'll get to chuckle at all the poor people struggling up Hatton, then I get to snort in derision around Banbury when I see all the boats chugging frustratingly around the meandering Southern Oxford, and as for crossing the Thames and shaking my head in disbelief at the pleasure boats aimlessly wafting between the high wooded cliffs at Gorring well that will only be outweighed by sitting down to a superb Sunday Lunch and knowing that if only that tree outside the window weren't so bushy I'd be able to see Sonning Lock
(they've got money have the out laws!)
Never mind I'll be so amused at viewing the family photo album (again!) squinting disinterestedly at people I don't know and care even less about, before repeating the whole joyful tease in reverse ........ I drive backwards just relieve the boredom you understand?
