Insulation

Postby nbmike on Mon Jul 21, 2008 8:52 pm

I've been sneaking the odd day off lately and playing on the boat. I've put off doing the sprayfoam because so many people told me what a terrible job it was. But as I have recently successfully resprayed my rebuilt Honda Deauville and found that quite noxious enough, I didn't think sprayfoam could be any worse.
It took me about 2 hours to mask up all battens, portholes, doorways and openings. then about 30 minutes to sprayfoam the back cabin. Then about another 2 hours to clean up and trim back.

I suddenly feel like scoffing a whole bag of marshmallows!

Wow, what a job! Well done Mike, I've heard from a few who've undertaken this it does not sound fun.
